On Wednesday October 28, 2009, Our Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister returned home to her Heavenly Father. Diane was born to Jan and Hilde Doliwa on April 3, 1957 in Logan, Utah.

Diane graduated from Bonneville High School and Weber State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics Teaching and Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She taught at Weber State University for nearly 30 years. Her passion was instructing current and future elementary teachers specializing in mathematics. She has received many honors in teaching and most recently received the Utah Educator of the Year Award.

Diane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served in many callings including, primary, young women’s, and relief society.

She was sealed for Time and All Eternity to her high school sweetheart Daniel Kay Pugmire on August 11, 1978 in the Ogden LDS Temple. They have three children and five grandchildren and one more on the way.

She will always be remembered for her Christ-like love and enduring selfless service to her family and everyone around her. Some of her greatest joys were seeing her family grow and make righteous choices and spending time with her eternal companion. Her presence will always be felt and continue to be a pillar of strength to her family.

Diane is survived by her husband, Dan; parents, Jan and Hilde Doliwa; in-laws, Jack and Margaret Pugmire; children, Ariana (Burke) Sears, Daniel (Heidi) Pugmire, Natalie (Mark) Hincks; siblings, Bernard Doliwa, Henry (Pat) Doliwa, Heidi (Byron) Allen; grandchildren, Rylan, Mabry, Elijah, Trevyn Sears and Gracie Hincks; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverdale Stake Center, 4000 Parker Drive, Riverdale. Family and friends may call Sunday, November 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Riverdale Stake Center. Interment will be at the Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden. Services will be under the direction of Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers send donations to the Diane Pugmire Scholarship foundation in care of Lisa Largent of the Weber State University Development Office, 4018 University Circle, Ogden, UT 84408-4018. To preserve memories of Diane, send any stories or tributes to dianepugmire@gmail.com.

Diane’s family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center for their valiant efforts in caring for her.
