On May 20, 2009 in Clearfield, the loving mother, sister, daughter, and aunt, Melannie Jean Morain, 31, passed away. She will be remembered for her strong family values and her loud sense of humor.
Melannie was born March 31, 1978 to James G. and Ellen Kim Palkovich. She led lively careers as a college student, and then a paramedic. She spent three years married to Houston Morain, and together they brought Karli Rose Morain into this world. Everybody who knew Melannie knew that Karli was the light of her life.
She is survived by her father, James; sisters Nichola Lovell, Mindy McClain, and Jennifer Zivkovic; daughter Karli Rose; grandparents Merlene and Gary Leavitt, ID; and Florence Palkovich, RI. She is also survived by her best friends Jennifer Forbes and Kim Klein.
Melannie was preceded in death by her mother, Kim.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
